Protect Your Pipes This Winter

The weather is getting colder. Here are a few tips to keep your pipes from freezing:

Open kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors to allow warmer air to circulate around the plumbing.

Let cold water drip from faucets.

Try to keep the thermostat set to the same temperature during the day and at night.

If you plan to be away during cold weather, leave the heat on in your home and set it to no lower than 55 degrees F.

Please do not pour grease down sinks. Use a coffee tin or something similar to pour grease in. Once it hardens you can throw it away.
