We will diligently work and make every effort to ensure the safety and security of all children. Children will experience activities that enhance personal development and academic excellence in a fun and social environment, including off-site, local, and out-of-town field trips.
We will not subject our children, camp staff, guest presenters, or volunteers to children who display behavior that is disrespectful, disruptive, or uncontrollable. Appropriate disciplinary actions will be taken and documented to ensure everyone has a safe, educational, and fun summer camp experience.
Emergency Measures
HABG has an emergency management plan for fire and tornado emergencies. Plans are reviewed with children on Day 1 of camp. The Education Director and all camp staff hold CPR and First Aid Certifications. Health screenings are conducted on arrival and mid-day.
Staff & Supervision
Our camp staff includes screened adult and youth workers. Adult staff members teach, transport, and supervise all children. Youth workers assist with activities, hallway monitoring, meal service, recreational activities, and maintaining a clean environment.
Accident & Injury Reports
In the event of a minor injury, an accident report is filled out by the supervising staff member. One copy is given to the parent or guardian; another is placed in the child's file.
📋 Rules & Expectations
Behavior Management
All children are expected to behave respectfully. Standards parallel classroom rules. A disruptive child may be removed from a group situation or denied a privilege to help regain self-control. Any discipline that diminishes a child's self-respect is avoided. Our goal is to help children accept responsibility for their actions and make good choices.
Weapons Policy
Weapons are strictly prohibited in all HABG Learning Centers, vehicles, and sponsored events. This includes firearms, knives, explosives, stun guns, BB guns, air pellet guns, and replicas that resemble real weapons.
Tobacco-Free Campus
All HABG properties are 100% Tobacco-Free. Smoking and vaping — including nicotine, THC, and CBD products — are prohibited on all grounds and at sponsored events. Students in possession of such products will be dismissed without refund.
Civility Policy
Every adult on our campus is a role model. HABG reserves the right to deny service to any child whose family member or associate does not exhibit appropriate behavior. Swearing, threatening gestures, raised voices, and intoxication are infractions. Serious incidents may be referred to authorities.
